ISRO provided report on joshimath land sinking

In Joshimath city of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, land is continuously sinking in the earth. More than 700 houses have been damaged.  In addition, CM Dhami has decided to give 1.5 lakh rupees to all the 723 families who are suffering from this land subsidence.


ISRO's (Indian Space Research Organisation) National Remote Sensing Center has put a report in front of the country, it has been told that in the last 12 days, the land of Joshimath has sunk 5.4 cm.  And ISRO also told that from month of April 2022 to November 2022, the land had sunk up to 9 cm. And due to this report of ISRO, NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) issued an office memorandum saying that no organization will give any update to the citizens before the final report published by NDMA. NDMA describe in its office memorandum that, it is creating confusion not only among affected residents but also among citizens of the country. And after this Office Memorandum, ISRO finally withdrew its report.
